Anyone still looking to buy a box/case of GW...

The seller that I bought a (CWI#103, 2/13) case from on 3/30 (and found 8 smooth edges along with a die clash & a few struck thru) still has two CWI# 103 - 2/13 cases left (different inspector)... She's also got tons of mixed rolls from 2/12 & 2/13 on eBay (she originally got 100 cases total).

I asked her why she didn't have any cases listed anymore, because I figured buyers would trust a sealed case more than OBW rolls, her reply was that many of the cases (although sealed) were pretty loose on the ends, and more people had $125 to spend (for 4 rolls) than $1250 (for 40 rolls).

My case that I received was a bit beat up and loose enough to open from the end... but all the rolls were tight & original ~

Well, I told her about my find (posted follow-up feedback) and went ahead and bought some loose rolls from her (couldn't afford another case anyhow)... But I just got an email from her -
Quote: "I don't know if you are interested but I have two sealed cases from 2-13-07 inspector #4308
They are a little beat up but original and sealed."

So, I figured I'd post it here if anyone is interested - I guess PM me?

Is anyone still into those plain-edge treasure hunts? I thought the latest hunt involved finding MS67+ in the First Day Coin Covers.

Get with the program Raq. Order a case of 50 Covers before it's too late. image

Finding plain-edges in rolls is so yesterday. I'm thinking if the probabilities were so good, the sellers would open them up themselves. Buying rolls and boxes seems like exposing yourself to scammers and opportunists more than anything.

But thanks for the offer anyway. image

::: hey I just hit 1666 with this post image

    LOL... yes, exactly!

That's why I figured IF someone WAS looking... I'd point them to a seller that (thankfully) wasn't a scammer.
I wasn't expecting to get any smooth edges in the case date that I purchased (especially so late in the game)... but it was certainly a nice BONUS!

Figured I'd bump this one time - seeing as how I originally posted it in the wee hours of the morning..

I'm heading back to the bank to get the last of their rolls today. We got 4 yesterday, but nothing special. It's the poor new guys egg hunt. Until I get more educated, I'll just reasearch and read. Can't go wrong with just buying a $1 for a $1.
