  That picture I think is definite proof that the so-called 1853-O Filled O quarter is actually an 1853-O/o. Very cool discovery and congratulations, Lathmach!

  The coin in the photo is Harry Smiths, but mine is about the same grade or a little better and about the same die state.
  I can actually see some of the outline of the smaller o at the top and left side.

  I had one of those filled O 1853-0's VG back in the 1980's but there wasn't much interest. I'm sure I sold it for not much more than $25.
