Question? 1908-S MS-65 Indian Red/Brown

I have a SEGS 1908-S Indian MS/65 R/B, and I am thinking of cracking it open and hope it grades at PCGS.

I know the pictures aren't the greatest, but do you think it will at least grade MS-63 RB or MS-64 RB???

Any Ideas? thanks

Regardless what it grades at PCGS, get it out of the SEGS holder.

The picture is not good enough to take a stab at the grade. Why do you want to reslab it?

details appear good enough to be 63 possibly 64 but i can't tell by the photos whether or not its been cleaned in its history or exactly what
    other problems it may have.
  • pictures are kinda bad, but it looks like it should make at least 63RB

superior, it's too hard to tell from the images what the coin would grade at PCGS, rarely can anyone make that determination unless the coin is in hand.

I've purchased a few SEGS Indians. I think most would grade about 1 pt below at PCGS or NGC providing they have not been recolored. Although offering a grade from those photos would be difficult at best, the color does look like it would grade. Good luck getting that coin out of the SEGS holder, they can be a bugger.

It doesn't look like a problem, but your picture is not really good enough to tell. It's worth it to break it out and get it in a PCGS holder, even if you get a MS64RB. (unless you paid too much for it.)

SEGS holders are hinged at the top, so you need to hit it on the two sides and botton edge to open it. It is actually quite easy once you know how.
