Question about selling 5 proof coins

Hi, I was wondering where you suggest selling 5 proof 1873 3cs? Should I sell them at Heritage or Ebay and one at a time or as a set, I also have the 3cent notes and stamp

Try Scarsedale Coin. The guy is about as good as it gets when you're talking about 3¢'s.

Yea i tried a while ago to sell, but I had dumb hits offering me 2000 for everything....but I guess I will just list them on Heritage, they seem like they have the users with the real money...haha

This is a rather odd set you are trying to move in one piece and I am certain that you will find a certain amount of resistance to someone buying all five coins vs. being able to only buy a single piece. That resistance will have little, if anything, to do with having the money or with the willingness to spend the money. Rather, it will have much to do with wanting five of the same date. It appears that all the coins came from previous Heritage auctions, so you may have good success with that route. You will also notice that even though they came from Heritage, they were not auctioned together, as you have been attempting to sell them, but were sold individually over time.

thanks for the reply. Well that was a question of mine should I sell as a set? I know my younger brother bought them over a period of time when he was in Iraq. The reason I wanted to sell as a set is because thats 1% of that year (600 made but 100 were melted or something like that)
and then you have the 3 cent stamp that set it all and the the 3 cent notes as well. More of a bragging right I guess? How many people here own 1% or more of a certain coin?
I will prob break them up but I figured I would try this way.

I have on a few occasions.

But anyway, you say they are all PCGS graded now. Did you cross the NGC coins? What are the grades of each now? Is one still in the rattler holder?

My bad, sorry I forgot one isnt pcgs and no the other one is still in the older case, I havent done anything to them since the post, they have just been sitting in a drawer.
