Best offer: I offered 3 cents.

DO NOT OFFER EVEN 1 PENNY FOR THOSE RIP-OFF COINS !

Sorry about the shouting but check the shipping before clicking an offer to the bozo. He'll have the last laugh - shipping on 28 coins is almost $5.00 per coin.

This is a real trap of a scam.image
  • Yeah, he's charging $10 to ship the first coin, and $5 for each additional coin. I guess getting $500 for 1 Washington dollar was not enough. He needs the victims to pay his eBay fees too!

But seriously when I see this listing I think the guy got scammed himself (except for the high shipping fees which suggests he's the conman). Because he blatantly says the coins are made of real gold (lol?) and also that he pulled all 28 coins from the 25 coin roll (more lol?) and that the roll was a "proof roll" (lololol?), and that his 28 error coins are the only coins found in Michigan with the upside down edge lettering (numerous lols?) and on and on and on. So I think this guy maybe got scammed by someone somewhere and doesn't know any better. I like to give the benefit of the doubt first. I know some people have emailed him and educated him so I hope he does the right thing.
  • Scratch what I said about his overpriced shipping. I guess if he really believes they are worth $500, then he would be insuring them and that might be why it costs $10 to ship it.

If the 3 cent offer is rejected he was a victim of a scam himself I bet. If the 3 cent offer is accepted then I tend to think he's pulling a fast one but maybe he'd be greedy and hold out for a higher offer who knows.

  • I made an offer with some educational comments attached to it...

looks to me that he is just trying to get people to see that he is a fan of Michigan's football team.

apparently the word is that if these 'errors' are reported (upside down/rightside up, whatever), the auction gets pulled, pronto.
