Sad thing is that I've considered it. image Tatoos are something that should mean something to the tatooee (Is that a word?). I can't see going through with it though.

no, but I did see a coin dealer at coin show who had his ears pointed via surgery to look like Spock.

    No kidding.

If I was going to get one, it would be an eagle as opposed to Lady Liberty.

I think the Eagle on the reverse of the Walking Liberty Halfs would be an awesome Tat!

but I'm too chicken to get one cause they hurt........

I haven't, but come to think of it, seated Liberty would make a pretty nice one.

The flying eagle on the small cent would look pretty cool. For that matter most of the eagles on coin reverses would be pretty cool.

No they don't. It just feels very warm with little pinches every now and then while they do the outline.

No they don't. I garauntee you've felt pain already in your life that was much, much worse than getting a tattoo. It's more like a nuisance than true pain.

No but I might in the future. I think the Feuchtwanger Cent eagle would look really cool.

BTW, this is going to be my next icon.

  • Would you get a tattoo of a whole coin or just a part of the design you like the best?

how would they make gold or silver look good on skin?

hmmm, a "god-less" dollar edge tattoo maybe?
It would look something like this:

The thing that holds me back isn't the first tattoo. It's knowing that once I get the first one, I'll want to complete the set, and 55 tattoos seems a bit over the top.

No. Because if I ever break up that set I would have to have the tattoo removed so my next set does get jealous of my previous set. image I wouldn't want my nickels to suffer from pennies envy.image

Get one at the base of your neck and tell me it doesn't hurt Claddy....because it REALLY hurts there.

If you wanted to do the whole set, you could just start on a shoulder and use your whole back.

No guy has done a tattoo of a roll of edge-lettered GW dollars down there yet? Now that would be serious dedication. (Wouldn't need a loupe to read the mintmarks either, just a little provocation.)

Actually, I would consider a tattoo of an empty Capital Plastics holder on my back, and then I could have the coins tattooed on one by one as I complete the real set. Who needs collection management software when you have something like that?

Why don't you just have the price tag added while you're at it? image
