I saw a CC Trade Dollar today on eBay that looked a bit questionable but I saw that it was being offered by Alpine Coins so I jumped on it. I purchased another CC from Alpine this month which was absolutely spectacular for the grade so I was fairly sure that this one would be as well. Well, I looked back over the auction just now and saw that the coin was located in New York ... Alpine Numismatics is in Colorado. Apparently, some eBayer is trying to get a free ride on Alpine Numismatics' good name in the industry ... and it just worked. There is still a chance that the coin will be fine, but I would not have been so quick to buy it had I taken the time to read the fine print and realized that it was not being sold by the same Alpine who I had just had such a good experience with. ALPINE COINS is not ALPINE NUMISMATICS! >>
Goes to show there is a difference between a coin dealer and a numismatist. Alpine Numismatics has nice coins. Hope you do okay with the copy cat.

Actually, I am doing two boxes of 20 ... a box of CCs and a box of colonials. It is a low pop $1T 1876-CC DDR that I don't have and was hoping to be able to find in VF-AU ... it goes in my box of 20 CCs until I upgrade it
