VAMs from Across the Street

Here is my latest NGC box. They attributed all but one. I cannot fathom what they are using to make the attribution of an 1888 VAM-7 these days. This couldn't be a more obvious gouge state 1. I was clear on the form to that and even called and made sure they understood. Oh well, I guess I need to cross it to PCGS to be satisfied on this one. Anyway, here's the group.

1878 VAM-18 MS63 (VAM-18A)
1878 VAM-141 MS66
1886 VAM-1C MS65
1888 VAM-16 MS66 (VAM-16A)
1888 VAM-16 MS66 (VAM-16A)
1888 VAM-18 MS63
1889 VAM-19A MS65
1890-O VAM-10 MS63 (VAM-10A)
1892-S VAM-2 XF45
1900 VAM-11 MS65
1900 VAM-16A MS65
1923 VAM-1F MS63
1925 VAM-1A MS65

7(revised) III25 · C3d (Near Slanted Date, Doubled Wreath, Die Gouge State 1) ( ? ) I-3 R-5
Obverse III25– Date set further left than normal and slanted with 1 closer to rim than last 8.
Reverse C3d– Slightly doubled middle leaves in wreath above NI in UNITED, O in ONE and LAR in DOLLAR. First die gouge state with line below seventh tail feather, short line below bottom of eagle’s left wing and a series of lines from top inside edge of eagle’s left wing up thru us in trust.

Here's mine that they disqualified:

I am not sure. Cannot imagine what they are looking for as this has all the original description and revision markers. Maybe that's why they only have 7 attributed in their database. (How many are VAM-7 too I wonder?)

Here is something not apparent in Leroy's photo of the motto that I shot on my coin. There is a nice chip in the r of trust.

    You made a 7TF in 66?! image

Oh my! That's a big one... no matter what the VAM. Congratulations!!
    When in doubt, don't.

No, it wasn't a raw coin and I did not make that grade. These were all NGC slabs that I sent for VAM attribution. The 1892-S VAM-2 was a TT cherrypick. (Oops, I listed it in the OP as 1892.) The two 1900-P and the 1925-P were Long Beach bourse cherries that I added to the submission while I was there. The VAM-141 was a Heritage cherry that I got for a good price even as a normal 7TF. And yes, it is the first 66 unless those eBay third world guys are attributing their AUs (aka MS70) too. Glad I got Leroy's latest update. I almost sold my MS64 and then found it was a VAM-141A. It was going to eBay as soon as this MS66 arrived back. Now it isn't. I know there was another great VAM I meant to submit with the others and found in my pocket when I got home form the show. Well, there's always the next submission.

I remember when you posted about that 92-S cherrypick. You're right, XF45 is the perfect level for that VAM.
