How does one get a job in the coin industry?

I would love to do it - and actually make a living at it. I am now a collector, but I would love to do this for a living.

How to start?

I have a college degree, work exprerience (in a different field) and I'd really like to find a way in to get a job working with coins.
Maybe it is a pipe dream, but anyone have any advice for me?

    1. Show a strong interest.

    2. Be willing to relocate.

    3. Be willing to travel.

Right now #2 is the sticking point for me.

Send out resumes and tell them what you just told us.

Just send out your resume to as many as possible and see what happens.

The American Numismatic Association now has a Job Board. It's just getting started, so there aren't many listings, but that will change. Keep an eye on it.

I'd love it too, but they'd get tired of me telling them how to run their business.
