Looks like a nice 64 to me. The spotting is typical, and the coin is fairly well struck for an S. Good luster. The grade limiting marks are the one in the left obverse field, the one on the lower neck, and on the reverse the eagle head and lower tail. PQ for a 4, but not quite 5, provided the marks in the left obv field are not worse in hand than in the pic.

64 for the hit on the neck, spots on the obverse & reverse. Still nice looking coin except the spots......Rick

I said 63. Not because I think it should grade 63, but because I know how Stuart operates. He doesn't buy stuff unless the slab has undergraded it. I think it's a 64, personally.

I'd have to agree. High end 64. Nice luster.

OH MAN....... this one is a sensitive subject for me (see part of my last submission below) but as part of the healing process I'll proceed......

Line # Item # Cert # PCGS No. CoinDate Denomination Variety Country Grade
    1 1 03964220 7369 1926-S $1 US Cleaned

Now, on with the healing and looking at your coin:

The coin has a very nice strike. While I think it looks 64 I'd say they BB'd it; just because THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO ME ............ ARRRGH!!!!

OK, I admit it. Maybe the healing process is going to be slow image

I agree with the majority (and knowing what stuart likes) it's a 4 with a hint of being a 5.

I find Peace dollars to be more difficult to grade than Morgans. It's even more challenging with only a picture.

Having said that I believe the coin to be a 64. The price differential between a 64 and 65 is pretty steep. I think
PCGS or NGC will take this into consideration when grading the coin. The coin has nice eye appeal and good luster,
but I think the bag marks on the obverse will handicap the coin. Overall I like your coin.
