1941-D Over Horizontal D Jefferson

While going through the Jefferson section of Breen's encyclopedia I noticed there is a listing (#2678) for a D over horizontal D for 1941. There is a reference to a 1982 issue of Coinworld, but no images. Does anyone have any information on this coin or any pictures? There isn't any information I could find on Coneca's website and I'm wondering why this variety hasn't gotten the attention the 1942 and 1946 dates have. Thanks!

Real good question, Hyf88. James Wiles does not include this variety in his book on Jefferson nickel RPM's, not sure why if it apparently exists, and if there is an article in CW about it, there must be some truth in it. The only guy I can think of here who might know something about this is Tom DeLorey (CaptHenway), maybe you should PM him.

Oh, and BTW, What's a Henway? About 4 pounds. imageimageimage

Thanks for the photo, Edscoin! I thought I had accomplished all of these in the Jefferson series with the 1942-D/horizontal D and the very difficult 1946-D/horizontal D, now I have another one to look for. Unless Edscoin, you or someone else out there has one for sale.

I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to recall that some expert determined that it was not an over mint mark later.
