Not alot of information, but GG appears to be on the road to recovery. FYI.

Thanks for the link. That's a small bit of good news for Ms. Goodacre. I hope there is a lot more good news for her in the very near future.

Unknown as to the cause, her husband found her and she could not remember falling.

Great news to hear of some good responsiveness.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Sounds like what happened to my grandma, but she remembered the fall.

She was widowed and lived next door to a widower. They had a prearranged signal to each other. At about 10 AM each morning, they would each open a set of drapes visible from inside the other's home to say they were okay for another day.

Well, Grandma apparently fell late one evening in the bathroom, hit her head on the counter or the toilet on the way down and went unconscious. When she came to, she couldn't use her body enough to get up.

So the next morning came. 10 AM came and went. No drapes being drawn.

    Her neighbor calls. No answer.

He gets dressed and rushes over. He starts pounding on the door and called out her name. He could weakly hear her yelling out that she was inside in the bathroom but couldn't get up. They had given each other a key, so he opened the door and quickly called for an ambulance when he saw the situation. Had she not known her neighbors or had this "system" in place, she may have just laid there and died after a few days.

This is good news. I hope she makes a full recovery.

Then I hope she is tasked with redesigning US coinage, along with Mr Rogers. They produced and excellent coin together.

Again, not a lot of information, but all of the signs appear to be pointing in the right direction.

    Mesquite:

You are correct, it's not a lot of information. But, more importantly, you are also correct that the signs are pointing in the right direction.

My 87-year old mother has one of those alarm things she wears on a chain around her neck in case she falls. Her older sister has one too, and had to use it this past Winter. If you have an elderly relative living alone, get one!
