    I don't see anything misleading.

Exactly what are you bidding on? One of the three coins, or a group of three 45-S nickels, and he has three such groups available? The title implies a group of three, but the text description seems to say you get to select one from the group. I suspect it is the latter.

It seems to be straightforward after you get past the title.
I think it's strange to word it that way but he/she does make it clear you only get one.

Not exactly sure what he is selling

  • I see nothing wrong with the auction. I do not believe the seller intended to decive. From the disription, I had no trouble figuring out that only one coin is being sold to each bidder.

I don't recognize the "{X510}" heksher. Probably not a reliable authority.

This auction is a dutch auction with several coins available.
The winner with the highest bid will be able to choose from
the group by its serial number. If the high bid is tied, the earlier
bidder will choose. You may also buy as many as the auction has in it. "

At first read, it sounds like a "choice auction;" against EBAY's TOS.

BUT, it is NOT a choice auction, under the TOS meaning.

Each bidder can win all three. All three items are "the same."
The "choose your serial number" does not equal a "choice auction."
Just a standard Dutch, with a very tiny twist.

    Perfectly "legal."

(A choice listing is prohibited because it deprives EBAY of listing fees.
Example: "One shirt. Choose your size. Choose your color." THAT is
an "illegal" choice auction. EBAY wants the fees for all the colors and
all the sizes. Each shirt must be listed individually.)
