Anyone want to play guess that Overton capped bust half number?

I have the book, but I couldn't identify this 1834 half.

Could well be O-114. Looks like it has the compass point (dot).

About the only difference I could see in the Reverses of the O-113 and the O-114 (at least the examples in
Overton) was the placement of the A in STATES ??

You boys appear to have learned some things from our Capped Bust Half Dollar series.image

The narrow arrowheads are certainly the thing that jumps out. To determine whether O-113 or O-114, look at the "E" position below the "D". This coin fits O-114.

I can't seem to find a center dot, and the top of the 5 slopes up at the end. Also, I can't see any signs of the "E" recut and moved to the left.

And it appears that they got another one wrong.image ANACS continues to grade out at about 90% on bust attributions. At that, they are still better than NGC, though.

    Edit for tpying mistacks.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

    TPG attribution blows chunks.

It appears the new ANACS is no better at attributing Busties than the old ANACS. Sad that grading services can collect money for incorrect attributions. Perhaps they should consider starting a double back guarantee, pay double the original attribution fee as a refund when they blow the attribution. Actually, I think five times the original fee would be more appropriate.
