Did you try calling him or contacting him?
You mention that you haven't heard from him but I don't know if you have tried to contact him and no response.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

He did the exact same thing to me about one year ago ... I had to file a Paypal claim two months later to get my money back from him. Apparently, its a pattern image

I would be careful about complaining about him here though. His friends will try to spin it so that it is your fault that the package got lost and that he failed to give you your money back.

You're wrong there, Fletch. I know cape, and I think highly of him. I don't doubt that he has been civil and understanding the whole way. You made yourself out to be an arrogant, impatient fool the whole time, and that's why you got blasted.

I haven't heard from Darin in a while and hope he's alright. Cape, have you tried calling?

That is weird. I don't think Darin was out to scam anybody, I hope he's OK. I thought this situation had been resolved a while back, but I guess not. image

Actually, I was quite pleasant and understanding for the first six weeks. It wasn't until after he refused to give me a refund almost two months later that I got impatient and demanded my money back. So apparently demanding your money back after two months is impatient, but when he has keeps your money and delivers nothing for one year ... then it is ok to get mad. I just wanted to make sure that I know where you draw the line ...

My mistake ... it must be ok to screw somebody as long as the "Circle" doesn't like them. That just seems a tad hypocritical to me.

A lot of us have to put ourselves in Fletcher's shoes first Jeremy before we call him arrogant. If any of us dropped a lot of money on a coin and didn't see any resolution 2 months later we would start pushing a few buttons ourselves. Every one of us might have done it a little different than Fletcher did --- some of us kinder and more gentle and some of us a little more arrogant and nasty, but I bet the majority of us would have pressed the issue with Darin or anyone else for that matter.
    Just my opinion.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

It takes a real long time to refund anyone when no contact is made, try minding your own business, As for you Russ, EVERYONE knows what you are and what your about, LOOK at your own track record.. alot of tarnish...

Sure, Russ is the master of the SLSD, and I have been at the sharp end of a pointed remark. However, I can vouch for Russ, and his reputation for honesty and forthrightness is impeccable. I would gladly send him a coin of any value to photograph, sell, or even look at, if that is what he wanted to do. I cannot say the same for many others, including some respondents to this thread.

Harold, I've been hanging out here a while now, and I've yet to hear anyone complain of a deal with Russ. On the other hand, I recall a recent case where rather than refunding someone their money, you sent a pile of junk silver for them to sell. That is, at the absolute very least, exceedingly amateur. I am quite surprised to see you weigh in on this thread, to say the very least.

I have never puirchased a coin from Russ and so essentially have no dog in this fight. BUT I have seen Russ's ethics and ethical behavior. On eBay he once had a really stunning pattern. I pm'ed him about it and suggested that he post it in a thread. Russ declined to do so because the coin was being auctioned and he believed that posting a coin that was for sale is unethical. Indeed, he did not post a picture of the coin until he had received payment for it and the buyer had received the coin. Russ's behavior was beyond reproach.

    Mark

PS: Though I haven't purchased a coin from him yet, I hope someday to break that streak and buy a bunch!

    Dude, you're lame.
Threads are there. Do you deny owing people money (even 1 person) and instead of paying, sending them "coins/bullion" to sell in their place?
If so, was that at their request?

Unless I TRADE with someone, I pay in what is considered CASH (ie...check, money order, credit card, etc)...things that do not require effort (other than cashing at a bank) on their part. I would never send someone crap coins or bullion and say "here, it should cover our debt....good luck"

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

You conveniently left off "like you tried to do?" If you had not been publically outed, they would still be waiting for their money. In fact, you dumped a bunch of junk on one of them.

As for litigation? Take your best shot, Bunky. image

If you would like a history lesson, I'm game. You never owned nor had possession of the coin you were trying to sell, and were it not for the forum calling you on it, you yourself would have been ripped for several thousand dollars.

Robert; Your right., I would have lost $8000 I sold over $100k in coin just here in 8mos and most transactions went well, a few were bad and they were refunded, but not promptly due to my lack of ability to do this juggling act.. but constantly being accused a thief makes for irrational responses
