Joe Stalin You are one heck of a guy! Thanks so much!!!! Gary you suck

I sent out my list of chrome football heritage and refractor list to buy the ones I need.

Well 80 just sends me 5 refractors and 8 chromes on my list for free!

Talk about a great gift! He had one of the best packing jobs and it was for some FREE CARDS! This guy is truly an amazing person handling our pack rips etc. I can not believe you sent me this for free! This set will even mean more to my twin sons one day when I explain some of the cards were from a guy I had never met and sent them for free! Kevin thanks so much!

Thanks so much and I owe you one 80s

I am down to only needing a few chromes left
2, 20, 23, 39, 63, 67, 68, 84, 92, 98 and 100

if you have these I will pay for them via paypal

Im confused a bit here. If Gary took credit for the gift that you say came from Kevin then why is your thread title:

very good question and here it is

80sjunkie in a post from a thread I started looking to BUY heritage football saiid he would send me some extras I needed at no charge to work on my twin sons sets for when they are older.

So I get all the stuff I paid for via paypal and then a package comes from Kevin(last name escapes me at the moment) and I assume it is 80sjunkie cause he said he would send some freebies for my boys collections.

However, I found out at this very moment it was JOESTALIN? I thanked the WRONG person assuming it was the person who said they sent them.

He responded to my thread so I was certain I had the right guy- I just got the package a few weeks after he said he was sending some cards for my boys and assumed they were from 80sjunkie so I thanked him to make sure I had the right giver!

    two things that frustrate me

    1) JOE didnt get credit for sending me some REALLY NICE REFRACTORS AND CHROMES FOR FREE(we need to see if he was the one who sent them).

    2) 80sjunkie when PM'd and a thread started thanking him for the great cards DID NOT let me know I had the wrong guy and took credit for about a 25.00 gift IMHO!

I am 100% certain I NEVER EVER RECIEVED ANYTHING FROM a BOARD MEMBER NAMED GARY!

We need Joestalin to clear this up

    1) to make sure I didnt agree to buy them and he didnt get paid
    2) to thank him if he did give this great gift to my twin sons for their chrome and refractor heritage football sets!

HOWEVER, it was a VERY NICE LOT and my wife and I were so proud that somebody out there cared enough I wanted to build a set of chrome and refractors for our three year old twins. SHe was blown away somebody would be so generous!

    It's funny how things change.

Just a few years ago, JoeStalin was everyone's "bad guy" here.

With all due respect - that's not a good analogy.

Gary - for what I can see is a sociopath of sorts and a devious deceitful thief.

I honestly have helped quite a few guys on here. I have a lot of stuff lying around so sending them out free doesn't bother me, expecially
if they are included with a deal. I also have a soft spot for dads collecting with their kids, as I will be there in a few year when my
boys understand that cards can be collected and not just eaten!

There are a lot of good guys here, I rip much, lets deal sometime. If you need anything let me know. I don't mind helping out my
fellow collector, I know they would do the same! There is a guy here who is always telling me to pay it forward. Maybe more of that
    should go on!

I'll put in a good word for Kevin as well. He's been more than generous with me, both with cards and sharing of information. While he may have wound up a few guys with football smack talk, I'm very sure it was never with the intention of defrauding anyone. I'd certainly consider him one of the good guys in the hobby, and an expert on Heritage.

Here I did Gary's reply for him to save him the trouble:

"Oh, I give out so many baseball cards to kids, I do so much charity work, I am such a Patron Saint of society...people often compare me to Mother Teresa, that when someone thanked me I just assumed that I had done the good deed."
