As a printer i can tell you most of the color dont line up correctly, you can see that the cyan is way too low, and the magenta needs to move to the right abit. On the other hand when this was printed this may have been the best print quality avaiable.
I am not a baseball collector-but from what I have heard-the valuable Wagner card is a tobacco card. Wagner did not approve of smoking and protested being on the card. It was taken out of production and is thus rare. I hope my memory is correct on this.

INteresting sigline dizzyfoxx - I take it you're moving more into comics and cards? Actually it's been a good while since I bought a coin, myself. Not so of other things. And I quite agree with re: an "ideal" T206 Wagner.
It might be if it wasn't trimmed. It brought $750.

I would be tempted to buy it at that price....... If only to say I owned one.......
But I WOULD like it certified or such, as I know little about them and I know there were reprints........ (I think I have a reprint set of them somewhere.... If I find it, I'll post...)

You are correct, that is the legend. The more likely story is that Wagnor wanted to be paid for his approval of the card to be place in the tobacco products.

Yes, but IIRC, the owner of said card sold it for about ten times what he paid for it.

We could still turn it. Anyone know why they never put IGWT on baseball cards? I think they should have...or maybe not.
Here is the card that sold.
