From the appearance of the quality of the dust jacket on the first one you missed, the price was to a bibliophile who wanted a very clean edition. As far as functionality, the book you bought was in a more reasonable price range, given the current demand for knowledge about the topic. I had to remove the dust jacket from my copy as it was tattered. Tried to locate a mint replacement, but they are almost non-extant.
If you are wanting for functionality, you might want to check around but I have heard they are going to reprint this book. If you find it to be true, list this bad boy back on ebay quick.

I believe I've been told things that haven't come true and I've been told things would not happen and then they did, so enjoy your book.
