Ever get such a good deal on ebay the seller "lost the check"?

I have noticed on a few occasions (all that seem to be really good deals) the sellers who only take checks sometimes never get the payments.

I guess in fairness to sometimes the post office does mess up. I get 100 letters a day in my business and at least 3 a week are put in our box by error.

I have finally solved the problem. Another PCGS board member (who will read this post I would guess) recently sent me a 5 figure check. While the issue of trust was not a problem he sent the check certified. This would make sure I did get the check (and did).

I figured for $2.79 I will never have to worry about if a check arrives again. I had a seller not get a check and file a NPB claim. No problem. I issued another one and sent it certified.
I seldom check PM's but do check emails often jason@seated.org

less than $3 is a small price to pay for peace of mind and to CYA
  • Of course if I get a notice of a certified letterr and I'm not expecting one, I don't bother picking it up.

Well, recently a buyer sent me a check by mail, but there was one problem, he put down only my name and the city and zip code. He must of thought that I own the whole city, like the IRSimageimage
