Has anyone seen this before....

Guess I'm hoping it came from a world's fair or something... seems like a lot of trouble to go through if it's something local... She's metal, slightly larger and thinner than a peace dollar.... Same wording on both sides.

    Thanks Ray... any reference to a pic would be great... actually it was free... found it in my in-laws house with a few old things... Have a company coming tomorrow to gut the house before we put it up on the market...

    Perhaps an early 1960s Gas-a-Mat Token? They were a chain of service stations that had coin operated gas pumps. Over the years they had several different designs for their tokens, with some bearing serial numbers and company identification. The earliest ones simply said $1.
