The rarity of Delaware state quarters in circulation

It's been about 6 months since I last found a Delaware state quarter in circulation... how rare would you say they are in comparison to silver coins in circulation?

I don't pay very close attention, but I estimate I get about one every 6 weeks or so, judging by what I found the last time I rolled my change. It's been a very long time since I've found any silver, but the cafeteria cashier at work got three silver times and a war nickel last week.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Not even close, there is very very little silver in circulation, but there are some Delaware quarters in circulation.

  • As a cashier, I can tell you that delaware quarters are much easier to find than silver. I see a few delaware quarters a day, whereas I may find one silver quarter in a month if I'm lucky.

I get one about every two to three weeks, I'd estimate.
  • In a school situation, you might find some silver. Usually it's someone's collection that has been stolen. I've seen it many times.
  • i get one every month or two but i never see any silver.

I see Delaware quarters a few times a month here in NYC.

I found a 57 Roosy in change the other day. First silver coin I've pulled from pocket change in at least 2-3 years.

Delawares are seen in circulation here in Chicago.

I dont know, but the other day when I dumped over a 100+ rolls of SQ, I am guessing that there were at least 5 rolls of delaware!
