What is the longest you've had a coin on backorder?

I don't generally buy coins that get backordered.

i am at 11 weeks with a few orders for 2006 w silver eagle and they said to hang in there i should have my order first week of march.2381xxxx order no. samething order back 15 days all the time good luck

i ordered 1 AGE 3 coin anniv set on the first or second day they went on sale, august i think. got them right before christmas. do NOT hit the cancel button. that cancel box means you still have a chance to get the coin(s).

I placed an order for 5 ASE Unc. W-mint Silver $1s on Nov. 14th. I received them on Feb 7th. 12-weeks total.

11 years and 5 months.

Saw a coin I had to have in March 1975. Wasn't able to finally own it until August 1986. You could say it was on "backorder."

I've had one go about six months. Didn't really bug me too much -- but I can see the ones that never show up being annoying.

The all time record was held by a collector who ordered a 1971-S proof Ike and received a notice from the mint that it was sold out and they would be sending him a refund in the near future. He received the notice six years after he placed the order. (Back then ten month waits were not unusual.)

2 Sets of AGE 3 coin anniversary gold ordered on 8/31
One was shipped on 12/28 (4 months) and the other was finally cancelled on Feb 12 (5 1/2 months).

I ordered my ASE on 9/11 and received the sets on were shipped on 12/29.
