I say you should pack up your table and walk out smiling.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

taking the complaints with a smile, despite the pain caused to your rump by an overly-fat wallet

You didn't WANT to sell coins? whether it be selling common junk or 37 16-D mercs, what's the problem if you got out of them what you wanted? Seems like to me you would have more free time to shop around now for more inventory than just sitting behind your booth.............
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
If you are angry at him, you are not educated with your own inventory. Period.
If you are educated with your inventory, he will make you happier than any other coin collector, for he will be able to carry on an intelligent conversation with you.

The person before the seller didn't realize the rare variety that made the $10 coin actually a $400 coin. Neither this seller nor the one who sold to him deserves the $390 difference. The cherrypicker recognized the variety through education and keen observation. That is the value added. Someone will add that value eventually and realize the step up in valuation. The cherrypicker is the one that deserves it. It is not cheating in any way whatsoever, particularly since the seller is usually a professional in the business, not the little proverbial old lady from Pasadena.
One seller I cherrypicked a rare variety worth over a thousand bucks for about twenty bucks I also pointed out a mint mark he missed that represented a considerable difference in value on another coin. Finny though that mint marks were cherrypicks in a bygone era.

BUT, no one forced this imaginary dealer to sell to the other dealer. He could have easily said no and held out to sell his coins to collectors for the larger sum of moola.
