Almost the find of a lifetime in my change yesterday....

Yesterday, while at the Disney store, I bot a $4.99 sweatshirt for my daughter and shoved the penny change in my pocket. While walking my daughter through the mall, we came upon a fountain and she asked me for any change. Pulling out whatever pennies I did have in my pocket, I noticed the only penny I had was the one I received in change. Now, luckily this penny was facing heads down and thus I noticed the wheat ears. Now of course being a wheatie, I checked the date, and it was a 1955! And lo and behold, it looked like it had some doubling to it! Now, I couldn't quite make it out, but at best I thought it might be a poor man's DD; but a DD none the less. Obviously, I did not give her that penny.
When I got home, I rushed into my office and closely examined the penny with my loupes, however, from every comparable angle, it was obvious there was no doubling.
Oh, well, an almost the YOU SUCK of a lifetime!
