Litesiders: What would you grade this coin?
This coin was purchased from London Coins at the recent NYINC. It is in a CGS slab. CGS, out of Great Britain, is a coin grading service only for English coins. Guess the grade?

Coin collecting is not a hobby, it's an obsession !
New Barber Purchases
The interesting thing though was after purchase I covered up CGS grade on the slab and showed it to a PCGS foreign coin grader as well as the president of PCGS ( who also happens to act as a darkside grader for PCGS on occasion) as they were both attending the show.
For those of you who said MS 63, congrats, so did they!
The reverse is actually a semi PL ( I guess camera did not pick on that) and the chatter in the left reverse lower field is from the slab.

The slab is interesting the prongs let you see the coins third side
A while back there was speculation whether it would be worthwhile to buy CGS EFs and get them upgraded to PCGS MS....
A British EF is often a U.S. AU, and a "GEF" often translates to a low MS grade.
