State quarter dump!

I just dumped 100 + rolls of State quarters into the bank this evening from a collection I picked up. All unc rolls of various states back to 1999, but not worth my time and trouble to retail them or sort them. All I did was check for the various poular errors like the rotated reverse conn, etc.

Either way the 1999 rolls could have made some money on e-bay with little or no effort.
Damn that must have been heavy!
1 State Quarter weights 5.67 grams....
1 Gram = .0022 pounds
1 pound = 453.6 grams
100 rolls X 40 coins in each roll = 4,000 quarters
4,000 X 5.67 grams = 22,680 grams
22,680 / 453.6 grams (1 Pound) = exactly 50 lbs

<< <i>Alright, let's see... 100 rolls at $10 each roll... Carry the one... add the 5.... drop the remainder... divide my the GNP.... and we get... A thousand bucks in Quarters?
Damn that must have been heavy! >>
5 times a year I deposit twice that ammount, they are heavy.

Twice that amount would be 100 lbs
Flip this coin from the mint or bank....Flip this house.
I dumped a ten dollar bill at Taco Bell today.
They only gave me back a couple of dollars,
but I ate the difference.
I did sneak out with a couple of napkins
though. I plan to put those to good use!!

<< <i>I recently has a guy offer to sell me $1,400 in original bank rolls all the way back to 1999 for $1,690. I turned him down. He later sold them to a coin dealer for $1,600. He would have made more putting the money in the bank. I just can't see a time where you will be able to get anything over face for anything BUT an error. >>
Set up a table at a coin show...if the table doesn't cost much, or you already have other items that would account for the table cost, then sell the quarters (if BU) for $0.50 each. People do buy them for their albums.
Sell them on ebay for 35c each and charge $1.50 or $2.00 shipping. You will make money but it won't be a lot nor that much fun...still adds up though.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

<< <i>Someone in CW recently had some theory that all the state rolls from the earlier years are being dumped at banks or someothing. >>
I would believe this. At the store that I work at, I opened three different hand quarter rolls. One was all circ Delaware, one was all circ Maryland and the last was all circ Pennsylvania. Someone must have decided that hanging onto the circ rolls he put together wasn't worth it. Should have been smart like the local crook-dealer and sold sets of 1999 for $5.

<< <i>..I should have put the money into stocks or some kind of fund for a better return. >>
Let me know when you find a stock or fund with zero risk.
<< <i>It would take a box with wheels to haul those. Maybe a seat, steering wheel and engine too >>
You know I didn't get this until the third time I read it....
