Submitted some nicer dates (threw in the 1879 to try for a PO-01

) that were pulled from the lard bucket collection.*

*My Grandad ran a country store in the late 30's and kept lots of Morgans and Peaces from his trade in a lard bucket

Here are four. BTW, the 1887-O is actually 1887/6-O but the NGC attributor didn't go through the level of investigation that I did to prove it.

The counterfeit, I'm told. And VAM-22 was mentioned in a previous thread, but I forget the details. I think you said something about counting denticles.

edit: just realized how crappy my pics look - white balance is off. Nice.

Lifted this one from a dealer who insisted it would grade XF-45, told him would get the body bag for cleaning so we negotiated a bit. Better date but also a fairly rare VAM.....die chip in wreath, which of course he is one of those dealers who can not be bothered with VAMS.
