Warning: Fraudulent Ebay Ty1 Franklin Proof

This auction , for a Ty1 1956 Proof Franklin with a killer obverse only Cameo, is not a Ty1. It is a Ty2.
I told the seller when I viewed the coin in hand that it was a typo, and was a Ty2.
Segoja also told him the same thing.
So it is not like he doesn't know better! Shame on you Kevin!

He is responsible for his listing, and correctly describing the coin in question- regardless of the mistake made by ngc...

Hi, this appears to be a mis-labeled slab. I believe the coin is a Type 2. Can you provide better reverse pics?
Thanks,
John
Let's see what he says.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
<< <i>I'm curious if anybody else has a disdain for one side only cameos? >>
Of course the goal is two sided, but a nice cameo obverse is still more appealing than a strictly brilliant coin.

and if anyone know Cameos it's Russ!!! (and PCGS!!!)
<< <i>If you're correct, shouldn't the lion's share of the shame go to NGC, for mislabeling it? >>
No! NGC only shares a fraction of the blame! All grading services make these typos. They fix them for free.
I made the seller aware of the typo. He even refunded my purchase price when I bought the coin at a show, got it home and
I fully explained why I was returning the coin for refund.
At that point he should have either sent it to NGC to have the typo corrected, or else, pointed out the typo in the auction.
Instead he tried to foist it on to some unwary buyer. At least he offers a return priv. on it. I will give him at least a wee bit of credit for that.
