Why do some sellers hide the cert numbers?

So people will not put the cert numbers in their Registry Set.

If it's a common modern issue like the eagles they might have multiples and just use a stock image for the auction.

Either they don't want registry kids stealing it, or, more likely, they are recycling photos -- ya know, "you've seen one MS69 1989 SAE, you've seen 'em all..."

I've partially masked cert. numbers on high value coins that were offered at eBay because of the proliferation of scammers that are cloning images and listing the coin elsewhere, such as at Yahoo.com. I usually offer to provide the complete cert. number to active bidders or potential bidders that I am able to verify identification of.
