Well maybe the "BUMP" picture and this thread scared Harold. He sent me a postal money order (which I cashed before I left the Post Office) for the $300 he owed me.
Yes it took some time, but it finally made it. I guess better late than never.
we have to give him credit for making good with James,, it wasnt when it was supposed to be, but he addmitted he Phucked up and he,s squaring things away, and hopefully he realized HOW he messed up, and wont bone anyone anymore

6 years ago, I was apart of a scam where the seller went bad in his last 40 auctions. When I made my winning bid, the guy had almost perfect feedback. The highly touted Jefferson nickel collection was supposed to have many full steppers and high quality coins but the set was subpar without any full steppers. The dealer and I made a deal for one coin out of the entire set. After returning the rest of the collection that's when everything went bad. The seller had received some 35 negs and seemingly disappeared. For the next 4 years after several emails and no responses, I did eventually get back my $220 refund. The seller was the president of a coin club and when that changed, they finally answered my emails. One of the last ditch efforts/emails I sent them were copies of all past emails and that I was going to make this tranaction a topic of discussion on a couple of major forums. I don't really know if that email was the straw that broke the camels back or that club finally had some great people runnung it. I was really happy and a bit shocked that through persistance, I did get my refund, even after 4+ years had passed.

hey Guys, received the 100.00 postal money order today from Harold,,im glad he came thru on his deals with both me and James,, just shows you, he,s NOT a JERK-OFF,, hopefully he can mend some wounds here and maybe you guys will forgive him, but not forget
So, a guy who has to be hassled for months or years and "outed" on a public forum to make good on a deal is not a "jerk-off?" Who sends you a package of junk silver to sell instead of doing it himself and sending the money he owes you, isn't a "jerk-off?" What, then, is a "jerk-off?"
Good people with whom to do business are those who promptly send you what you pay for, and those who promptly pay for what you send them. Period.
after dealing with people my whole life,, all 12 years of it,, a jerkoff is someone who promises and promises and never delivers anything at all,, but someone who phucks up and makes an ATTEMPT to rectify the problem should be somewhat forgiven,, but not completely let free to dick more people over
<< <i>Steve; ThankYou for the kind words, and Im sorry for making you wait like I did... >>
Apparently you couldn't handle the situation appropriately on your own accord and it took the outrage of the owed party and the rest of the forum to sound off against you for you to make things correct. You should correct your mistakes at the first possible opportunity and not wait until people become outraged for you to act.

While I'm glad that sTONER got his funds... Finally... I still would like to know what lifts Harold out of the "jagoff" category.
I will personally NEVER deal with someone who through intentional action messes up even ONE deal. Please understand that I am not talking about postal issues or mistakes - I am talking about the kind of stuff that has to be "explained away".
By the way, I hold myself to the same standard, and hope that each and every person - board member or not - holds me to it as well.
I can't stand liars, nor can I stand cheaters. Many of the members here are WAY too willing to forgive and forget. Makes 'em seem like doormats.
hey Keith you are right about some forum members forgive and forget easily,,. if some of us know about the shady people here we might be cautious of our dealings with them,, thats one reason I started this thread, and im very pleased that both James and myself were able to get our funds in hand, and i wonder if there is anyone else who needs to be squared up with.. As far as the jerk-off rule,, Harold could have said IM outa here theres too much noise here about me and we would have never gottin squat from him,, but he PAID up a few people that he did dousche along the way, so that puts him on the Watch List,,steve

Age, alzheimer's who knows? I have run into problems of missing a check or package. What a surprise it was when I came across a $230 money order that I never mailed a couple of years back at that time, For the life of me, I couldn't think of who I could have missed. I ended up finding a similar receipt for the same amount about that time. It was like a deja-vu kind of thing and I must of had another money order made up to send out. Another time, I found a check for coins that I never delivered or was it that I forgot to send a refund that was over a couple of years late. The guy was still at the same email address and I apologized profusively for the screw-up. Come to think about it again, I might have never sent a check for some coins that were sent to me for my approvel because I do remember sending a check but the guy never cashed it. Oh well, life goes on!

<<<<I wonder if theres anyone else who needs squared up>>>> Theres no-one else I need to square up on, anyone who purchased from me knows I always accept returns but take awhile to do so, and I am sorry for that, I never lied or cheated anyone here or elsewhere..
Goose; Your alot of talk on these threads .. The only thing is you have no butt to back up what you say. Having your idenity hidden makes its easy for you to make derogatory statements on people who have no way to find your idenity.. GROW UP
You are getting so a fended by a smiley face. You need too go to school for better business practices. I am glad that everyone got there money back, but how can you knowingly screw someone (even know you make it right way later) and not feel like a scum bag. Thats what you are. not a jerk off you are a scum bag sir
<<scumbag>> Whats a scumbag ?? .. Its an individual such as yourself posting to this thread in this fashion. Come to this yrs coin expo in IL and make your pathetic statements then in person. I got your number...
The original meaning of scumbag was a slang term for a used condom.

As Mirabella said, it shouldn't take a thread such as this, but in any case the two of us look to be in the clear.
