Took agamble on Ebay item

I saw this item and thought it cool enought to put a low bid in for

I won the auction to my surprise! $57 delivered , so how did I do? I'm worried the obverse will not be as nice but I decided to take the chance.
So for $57 is it a steal or a bust or somewhere inbetween?

The price might be a tad high for the coin itself, but you get the nice packaging. I shudder to think of what Littleton must have charged the first buyer of that- I guarantee you it was more than 57 bucks!
I think you did fine. The price, like I said, is probably a bit high for your basic London mint Edward I penny, but the hoard pedigree makes it more interesting and the packaging (frame, etc.) are a nice touch.
I like it.
D'oh
Well that will irritate me enough to think twice about hanging it up as is.
Don't let that stop you from hanging it up- 98% of the people who see it won't notice that.
I think it's a handsome display.
Why step over the dollar to get to the cent? Because it's a 55DDO.

I think I would have used an Air Tite stuck in a felt display card instead of a white 2x2, but I would have charged more than $30.
