soft prices = good time to buy?

I guess as a collector, this is a good time to assemble my MS65-67 Walker 'short set'. I know this is a small sample, but it echos some of the other auctions over the past few years. The later Walkers have certainly softened, which in my mind, makes me wanna' track down some nice bargains. Here is a sample from DLRC (the prices include the buyer's fee).

Short set Walkers have been soft for a couple years now. I got lucky and sold mine at the peak.

Like I said, it was nothing but luck. Somebody saw it in the Registry and contacted a dealer in California who contacted me on his behalf.
Sold for better than 50% over my cost.

Not picking, I wish I was half as informed as you. O yeah, I wish I had 1/25 the bankroll. LOL

I always appreciate your knowledge, and I like your sense of humour.

I was getting ready to list some MS65 and MS66 Gem Walkers on the BST board today until I check the prices. No way am I given them away at these levels.

I will certainly give that idea all of the consideration that it merits. image

Short set Walkers are nothing but widgets. Don't waste your money on them. Buy the earlier dates.
    All glory is fleeting.

Widgets are fun. Wigets have the theory of Wigetivity behind them as a support for their $$ values at a given point in space and time. A contrarian position in Widgets and patience will once again come full circle in the coin arena and an Originator will make a purchase of your Widgets reaping you a handsome profit. To insure your Widgets are held in high esteem pic them with care and don't be afraid of second opinions before parting with monies on the Widget in question. Original toning and superior strike and luster for the given date, and even these Widgets have strike variablity, this will aid in resulting success.
Enjoy your coins or one day your heirs will enjoy your efforts in $$.

Van says buy the early date Proof Walker Widgets say the 1937, 38 and 39 for they too are cheap in his opinion right now.

    Regards, Michael
