I just got my second submission back from PCGS today and noticed this error

do you think if I leave it alone the coin will eventually turn into platinum?

You submitted the wrong coin that they graded, isn't it obvious?

Send it back for a designation review, say that it turned gold in the holder.

List it on eBay as a PCGS error slab. You'll get a premium for it.

Has anyone gone thru the process of getting the label corrected?
Do I have to eat the re-shipping costs?
I am going to call Customer service to straighten it out but I thought I'd ask you guys first if you know the extension # of a particularly helpful rep that I could ask for.

You realize it's not just the designation, right, the serial number is platinum also.

Yep you will. I love these especially on Coins that don't make it, i.e. your 69. You will get more for it as is than in the proper holder.

I submitted the $10 2006 w (1/4 oz gold coin) . They mis- labeled it as an $10 platinum ( 1/10 oz ).
I would not be this glib about it if it was otherwise!

Apparently, Sir David of Hall, can not only turn plastic into gold

he is now attempting to turn plastic, into platinum. WAY TO GO!

In any event, errors do occure even with the most strict procedures.

It is humerous but quite correctable by PCGS. No harm, no foul.

Maybe the person who logged in your coin/s is gold-platinum colorblind.

I think that was the problem. I submitted these coins at the NYINC show. The woman at the PCGS table helped me fill out the forms and we could not find the coin # for a 2006 w $10 AGE so she said leave it blank ,they would figure it out. Last time I try that!

I had a mislabeled coin and took it to the Baltimore Show. Showed it to PCGS,they said that since it was their mistake it`s all free,including the shipping back to me.

Ya know PCGS?...you`re allright after all.
