Earl got:
coin 3 - 1888-S VAM 13 MONSTER GOUGES
coin 4 - 1887 P VAM 1B Die cracks date
Norm got:
coin 6 - 1921-P VAM 32A
hints:
coin 1 shows about all you have to go on to attribute this VAM if it is holdered.
coin 2 is certainly a 1921-D. The die scratch is in the crack details for the variety in Rob's book. It is usually picked out by a legend break though.

2: 1921-D VAM 1G
5: 1921 VAM 57A
7: Cooties are cool! I'll have to look this one up. It's not the 79 VAM 41.
8: 1892-O MPD VAM 12(?)

<< <i>1: It's a 1921, but I don't see what the arrow is pointing to. Clash? Your hint makes me think it's an IR, yet they all have bigger diagnostics than that, unless it's a VAM 44, in which case you SUCK.
2: 1921-D VAM 1G
5: 1921 VAM 57A
7: Cooties are cool! I'll have to look this one up. It's not the 79 VAM 41.

You got #2, #5 and #8. #1 is not 1921, but is a sucky R-7. #7 is a Phila issue, but not 1879.

<< <i>If your #5 is a 57a Whats Mine??? >>
Interesting, but not a VAM-57A. Not familiar to me. Any other cool features?

And there is a second Die break above the R..
I had one of the 1890-S date that got me like that. I didn't have an image of the VAM-1A punctuated date and thought I cherried one. The dot punch was in a different location though, a bit after the 0 digit. I think Leroy gave me a designation on it because of something else though; I forget. (I have since gotten a nice VAM-1A too.)

By the line of Liberty's neck clash through the "I" I'm guessing the coin is rotated about 7.5 degrees. If so, that shouldn't bring the "M" clash into play. I'm thinking it might be caused by a clashed letter on Liberty's neck being transferred there. And from your earlier clue, if the coin is not infrequently reeded, it would have to be one with a a different reed count than the standard 189.
