Are there some plats unc. w/o the w mint mark?
So I'm having trouble with PCGS saying there is no W mint mark on my '06 unc. plat 4 coin set. So now I don't know what to do...could it be PCGS mixed up some orders?

Yes there are some 2006 plats without the W mintmark.
The 2006 Plat bullion coins sold through an authorized dealer network, do not have a mintmark.
The 2006-W Coins sold by the mint are a low mintage collector issue and do have a mint mark.
I hope this helps

To ease yor mind think instead about the third case which would be having the uncirculated platinum with the muse on the reverse with no mint mark!
Now you are talking an error platinum!
Box of 20
Yikes! And I thought not receiving them was bad....
<< <i>I'd tell PCGS they need to put a no "W" on the coins since this would be an error. You can't get the 2006 UNC's from the mint only the proofs. As long as it has the correct reverse it's an error or they don't know what they're doing.
I agree with this, an Unc. Plat with the Legislative muse on the rev. and NO "W" would be worth a small fortune. So far a population of 1 !!
The 2006 Uncirculated Platinum Eagle is the first year that they have a "W" mint mark. None of the regular issue coins from 1997 to present have a mint mark.
If you bot them from the mint there should be a mint mark on the reverse just below the "Oz." in 10th Oz. and above the .9999 Fine at the bottom.
