    So do I. That is a NICE half dime.
    Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

    Excellent photos from Russ and and excellent half dime from AC. Slab seems pretty scratched up though. This half dime needs to breathe...snip, crack, pow! Then you'll get some killer images!

    Yeah...I'll be changing it soon..here's the link to the sale DLRC and you can see why I was pleasantly surprised when I had the coin in hand and saw the luster.

    That's a nice example of a proof H10c, a date that's tough to find as a business strike.

    Nice MS and PR specimens of any denomination dated 1869 are tough. Just ask any Indianhead Cent collector! Pricey when found, because most denominations had low populations to begin with and collecting current issues wasn't yet strongly entrenched in the miniscule collecting community during the Reconstruction. The population of the Proof 1869 half-dime was only 470 pieces (despite the Redbook claiming 600 struck). A number of silver Proof issues were blessed however with some exceptional toning - this being but one example.
