<< <i>If you are not going to have them graded and want to sell the sets you get more for them if they are sealed - not cherry picked. >>
Very true. However, if you sell them to a dishonest person who claims that there was actually a 2006 Proof Silver Eagle (or some other cheap coin) in the box instead of the Gold 4-Coin Set, you're screwed. Since you admit in your auction that you didn't open the box (and thus are technically not sure what's in it), PayPal will award the other guy the money.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

They started giving the 20th anniversary label on all the unc coins and now for reasons of their own they have stopped, has nothing to do with sealed or unsealed boxes, just another reason to get an extra premium on the coins , I guess the 20th anniversary label may be worth more than the blue label , Go Figure!!
I know I put my fractionals in before the 9th and they still didn't put the 20th anniversary label. PCGS just decided to stop using this label for the AGE's

True. But at work, I routinely get shipments from suppliers where the packing list disagrees dramatically with the actual contents. The Mint's website will tell you what SHOULD be in it, but I doubt PayPal will take that as evidence that the item is ACTUALLY in it.

Can`t say there final. Mint can adjust for returns and god knows what else for months. But they should not very much from here? I have seen posts claiming that if the 4 coin sets sold out at 10,000 that these 2006-W Gold would be lowest mintage of all gold fractionals. I hope they are right! time will tell.
I thought these 2006-W Gold would pop after 4 coin set sold out. A little disappointing, although they are selling for a profit. I guess the 3 coin silver, 3 coin gold & 4 coin platinum have me spoiled.
Does anyone know of any gold eagles, Proof or Uncirculated that have lower mintages than these? (except 1999 unc. error W gold.)

Umm...it's only been four days.... >>
lol..... looks like the expectations are that everything from the Mint will shoot to the moon! and right away....
I can understand the expectation though. The U.S. Mint has done well to promote the fever.
Actually, it is not a bad sign that the coins are not skyrocketing at this point. Just means that they are off the radar screen for now. Means that not everyone is fully aware of the low mintages when compared to the series. And means that when they do become more aware of it.... they will have their day.
Isn't it odd that there is no mention of sellouts??? All the 06-W AGES 1 Oz's are now SOLD OUT as of today, and this just came out a very short bit ago today. It's a complete sellout.
The 4-coin sets are now up to 11,181 -- I hope we hit the top soon. Time to readjust all those numbers again!

I thought it was odd that 10,513 4 coin sets were sold as of last week. I would expect a even number. I think the final number could be 12,000 thats still a low number though!
Well I see that NN still doesn't show a sellout of all W options on their list. I emailed Mr. Harper about this last week and didn't get a response.
The updated mint report also indicated that the mint is still selling leftover 06 bullion gold to dealers -- so much for my low mintage 1/4 eagles...

Looks like the only change is NN shows the 1 oz AGE sold out -- but not the 4-coin sets... Seems that the numbers are firming up.

Okay, gotcha. The whole sealed box thing is new to me.

I called and spoke to a customer service rep tonight, and I asked him if I should send the sets in the sealed mint box.
He said, "If you want the 20th Anniversary designation, the original sealed box is a must!"
Can anyone on this board verify that stipulation?
A month ago, I took the 4 coins out of the Mint box and put the capsuled coins in 2 1/2"flips.
Did I screw up???
Please advise.
Thank you.

<< <i>I think PCGS will not put the 20th anniversary label on the AGE's anymore.

I agree with you, this PCGS guy was also very short with me.
I think he's the same guy that mis-informed me last month.
He says whatever comes to his head and does not check for the facts.
There is a wonderful lady at PCGS who is most informed and nice.
She basically refuted whatever this guy said last month on one of my submissions.
I wish I could remember her name.
Thanks for your help John91C.
Bet he wished he held out for today's sell out!!!
Thoughts?????

Dont you have to send the whole set back if 1 coin is damaged??

Yep, I'm sending the whole set back.
Too bad, it's a nice set. I would've kept both sets if that one little nick wasn't there.
I had the same experience as you and Priscilla figured it all out for me.
Swest
I have two sets unopened and am debating about sending them in.
