TrueView Photography

Can anyone tell me how much it costs to get a TrueView image of one of my PCGS coins? I searched the PCGS website and could not find any info on submissions or the costs.

I thought so too.... and I thought it was 10 dollars a coin... though I never used it.

If the secret handshake is done correctly can you send in coins already PCGS slabbed to get photographed with a submission?

I was told by Gayle Kean - while at FUN earlier this month - that the service is no longer available. I have also been informed - by other Board Members - that for those collectors who had chosen to have their sets imaged before the announcement of the suspension of this service - that they - and only they - would be able to have this service available to them.

Its a shame, as I had so wanted to have my SLQ set and Barber Series sets imaged.

I really liked this service as the quality of the images were supurb.

The cost is now $10 per coin.

Cost is 5$ per coin for imaging and 5$ a coin for reholdering it since they crack it....hence 10$ a coin.

You can get a scanner and make your own........

It's my understanding the service is still available but is no longer being publicized or advertised. You can still request it on the invoice, though.

The price was $5.00/coin. It is my understanding that they will only photo the coin out of the slab. If the coin is already holdered, I would expect that you would have to send the coin in for a "reholder" wich costs $5.00 itself plus another $5.00 for the photo service. They would crack the coin out, photo it, and then reholder it. Thats is if the service is still available.

I wish PCGS would at least drop a hint to us if TrueView is still available.

I sure wish we could see an official annoucement on this service as well. I need only a few more coins for my Barber Halves and desire to have them Tru-Viewed. I've seen posters made up of Tru-View images and they are beautiful. What a neat way to show off your coins while they are in the box at the bank.

I'd gladly pay $10 per coin plus a $5 reholder fee if I submit a graded coin. I believe Phil is going to be busy with the photography for the grading project PCGS is putting forth. But still........

The only problem is the submission forms have changed to elimiate the selection of photo. I just submitted two and placed a request for photo under the "other" section. I'll let you you know how that goes over.
