So, what do you think were the top mint offerings from 2006?

All the hype around the 20th Anniversary Eagles and the Platinum sets got me thinking. What do you think are the top 5 long-term "winners" from all the mint's offerings in 2006?

I don't know much about platinum or the commemoratives, so my uneducated/unresearched list is:

1) RP Gold Eagle
2) RP Silver Eagle
3) $25 MS Gold Eagle (W)
4) $50 MS Gold Eagle (W)
5) MS Silver Eagle (W)

I'm thinking the $5 unc san fran will have a very low mintage. I don't know where to look for mintage figures but there was a report of less than 20,000.

I think the platinums are far and away the big winner . then

    1) RP gold
    2) $5 gold (w)
    3) $25 gold (w)
    4)$10 gold (w)
    5) RP silver
    6) MS silver (w)
The $50 gold is a dog unless the gold price keeps doing what it did today

    In '04, it was platinum.

    In '05, it was platinum.

    In '06, it was platinum.

In '07, it will be platinum.

    I think there's a trend ...
