<< <i>These attacks are a variant on the Theory of Widgetivity. Where as focus is apparantly directed, but in reality misplaced. Others view this phenomenon from a close distance noting the subjects actions, reactions and come away time and time again with the same observation, what a waste of time. Though, it is comical and sometimes interesting to study the Widgetivity subjects actions it is in reality a shame as they are to be pitied. >>
...hmm, I must not be drinking enough...
Money cute answer.
<< <i>They have been sold out for awhile. The Mint as usual has been taking a waiting list. Looks like 10k was the limit for the 4 coin sets. >>
Under 15 K on the 1/2 and 1/4 ,hopefully that should give us a decent premium in a year or 2...I just dont see the platinum frenzy happening with these even though the collector base is much bigger....hope I am wrong
If the 4 coin set is an even 10,000:
44,784 1 oz
13,356 1/2
14,298 1/4
20,500 1/10
1oz 201,000
1/2oz 42,000
1/4oz 46,000
1/10oz 270,000
now do those numbers include the w mintmark type?
44,784 1 oz
13,356 1/2
14,298 1/4
20,500 1/10

The red "Product is not available" is up there, and the little box to add to your cart is gone.
<< <i>The 2006 final mintage figures for gold bullion as listed on the US mint site are as follows:
1oz 201,000
1/2oz 42,000
1/4oz 46,000
1/10oz 270,000
now do those numbers include the w mintmark type? >>
Nope , those numbers are only for the bullion coins available thru dealers, not the mint
<< <i>I love it "In stock and reserved" and the check box is gone!!! >>
Hope you dont get the sets I sent back , all kinds of debris on the 1/2s

Arrrg , you sent some back? I'm sending them back too if I get that garbage.
jamakin,
Even those regular bullion figures are wrong. They real numbers won't be updated until later this year.

This makes the 2006 W 1/2 the lowest mintage non-error gold eagle in the entire series, proof or unc.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
<< <i>these aren't gonna do much but maybe cover the ebay fees to unload. >>
I don't think that will be the case with the fractionals
<< <i>You may be eligable for the LAST ISSUE LABEL.
Send it across town and get the "Late Release" label.
I sold my 69's and kept my 1/2 and 1/4 ounce MS70 for future use, yet to be determined.
If you plan on selling them in the next 12 months, you might be a tad bit disappointed. If discover them in your safe deposit box 5 years from now, you will be jumping for joy.
I knew it would happen.
<< <i>If you plan on selling them in the next 12 months, you might be a tad bit disappointed. >>
2006-W Silver jumped by 250% within a month of sell-out.
2006-W Platinum jumped by 50% within a month of sell-out.
Why should the 2006-W Gold NOT jump by at least 20-30% within a month or two? Yes, I think they'll do better in the long term than in the short, but I think it's silly to claim that the immediate jump will be so low as to be "disappointing."
<< <i>I'm very happy to hear that they are FINALLY GONE!
Hey, maybe someone will buy up all the 1oz's now.
<< <i>I love it "In stock and reserved" and the check box is gone!!! >>
That's what it showed on my individual W-Plats too.
Now it shows "Order In Process" & "Backordered Expected
to ship 2/8/07! And....the CANCEL box is back to cancel
if I want!!!!
<< <i>The 1oz`ers are $80.00 cheaper than the Gold Buffalo`s. also a few more day`s of gold price hikes they might become a deal!!
Very astute observation CoinMaster
