I say that one can't possibly be natural. If it qualified for first strike, it:
a- was toned in a month b- was toned in the slab
Silver eagles react quickly, but in anything that could be called a natural setting, neither of the two above options would happen so quickly and dramatically.

the first strikes in the anacs holders are toning up like crazy inside the holder.

I'm hoping it might end up being something kind of special (scanners don't pick up color well...).
I did purchase this wild one earlier in the week off of eBay too.
I think it looks kind of cool.

Pat,
I saw the one that Hayden put up (your second link)...let us (me) know how it looks in hand. The way the toning is had me worried so I didn't bid.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I love weird and whacky coins in PCGS holders. I'm getting to have quite a box full of them now...

<< <i>Musky....Your label reads 1974-D. Nice error slab!
Not an error, he says that the coin is sitting on top of a slab.
Here's the one I posted a couple of days ago.
I'd sure like to get my hands on one of those blue's though!
The name is LEE!
