Sacagawea error?

I had a Sacagawea at work that looked different than the others. It had the silver color just like a quarter or dime. It was exactly the same size as the other Sacagaweas and Susan B. Anthonys. Was this an error and if so, how much is it worth? Unfortunately, I totally forgot to exchange for it and I there is no way I can get it now. I just want to know if I missed out on something worth keeping.

What does the edge look like?
    And what's the date?

Oh, and I should read the whole message before realizing that these questions cannot be answered anymore.

How much would that coin have been worth in average circulated grade or is it something I don't want to know?

Unless we can see it, there is no way to tell if it is an error.

Looks like I blew it if it was the real deal.

Is there a way someone could have messed with it to make it look that way without it being a genuine error?
