1978cc Morgan pix, opinions please

My first Morgan, don't know much other than it's a key date. Pretty tired coin. Big ding on rev under right wing. Lots of small dings, but still a neat coin. Please give your opinions, grade (with numerical grade if possible). I'm interested in learning grading at the mid/lower end of the scale as I find that much more difficult. Won't hurt my feelings, got it dirt cheap ($20)!

    I'd say it might get a 15-20

Smooth honest wear, nice surfaces for a fine 12 coin.
Yes, I see the little dig. F 12

Fine-12, but just barely in my opinion. At that grade level I think the nicks and small dings are acceptable.
    When in doubt, don't.

Nice snag.....Yep, ought to be able to get $40-50 on E-bay. Nice pocket carried
piece! Nothing unusual with the dings, just from being used and boy were they
used! Want to let go of it?

Nice pick up. I would think F-12-15.

VG-8...it is a cool looking coin, I love the "chocolate brown and tan" colors on the lower grade CC Morgans...I think it gives them character. The ANA grading standards guide gives excellent descriptions and illustrations of Morgans in all grades.

I assume the color is consistent and even on both sides, and not different as shown in the images. I hope the true color is closer to the obverse image than the reverse. The obverse color shown is the more natural well worn Morgan color. It is VG10 IMO. Given the degree of wear, I think it would go F12 if the surfaces had no further distractions. The significant digs on the reverse, however, including the ones over near the N of UNITED, keep this coin from getting the full benefit of the doubt that its wear condition would otherwise merit. It's worth more than $20 that's for sure. a $50-$60 dollar coin on EBAY IMO.

    I agree with vg10.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
