San Francisco Old Mint Grades

I'm a little upset about the PR68Dcam but I'll feel better after a drink or two. Well, I'll feel better until I get the coins in hand. image

I've seen 69's go for less than issue price on eBay... ouch.

I've noticed that the MS69 guarantees you issue price plus compensation for the TPG.

These coins will need several years before the real value is established.

I never bought from the mint, but did buy one of each in MS70/PR70.

They are lovely coins, and I just yesterday put them in the bank SDB.

Do you see a lot of PCGS MS70 San Francisco Old Mint Silver Dollar (uncirculated) out there? I saw quite a few on ebay. I just bought one and pay around $200 and I think I may have paid too much. But somebody actually paid $300 (2 people) for them. What are your opions?
    Thanks.
