Help with PCGS submission error on their part.
I just checked my PCGS and my certification numbers. PCGS made a mistake and did not give me First Strike. I mailed an open box of a set of platinum w on January 3rd by registered mail and they received it on January 10th. I wrote all over the paper that I wanted First Strike and paid the extra $10 a coin. It also says that it was shipped on the 18th. What will they do? What can I do? I am so upset it isn't funny.

Everyone should make sure they check their numbers if they are expecting First Strike just to make sure.
<< <i>I just checked and the number are different from the First Strike. I called customer service and I have to send them back because they were just shipped. I wish I noticed the different numbers yesterday. I just kept clicking on the certification to see it, and it wasn't ready. When I saw the certification this morning, I noticed that the numbers were different and it didn't say First Strike. By that time it was too late.

FYI, my 1oz. First Strike has the following PCGS number: "112637**"
<< <i>For the 1 oz I asked for 21124 and received 21128. All my numbers were different for each coin. They told me I was elegible for First Strike and to send them back. >>
Let me guess, you have to pay shipping both ways?

Puritan, your numbers are incorrect....did you see my previous post?
It must start with "112"
Here, look at this eBay auction and check this 1 oz'r
<< <i>I am NOT looking at the certification number I am looking at the PCGS number where they tell you the grade. This is where the number is different. When I look at everyone else's certification number it says First Strike, mine does not. When I look at the PCGS number mine says 21125, 21126, 21127, 21128 These are not First Strike, and my certificate does not say First Strike. It should say 21121, 21122, 21123, 21124 (These are First Strike). I am just trying to help people not go through the grief that I am. >>
You are absolutely correct, I misunderstood.
PCGS will get it right....not to worry.
<< <i>I asked about that, and they told me to send a copy of my shipping charges for shipping, and they would send my my shipping charges back. >>
How very typical of PCGS. Always a different story, depending on who you talk to.
On the most recent PCGS snafu involving a coin of mine that needed to be returned to correct their error, I asked about a refund for postage and was told by Ms. Flores that a cash refund was not possible, but that they could offer me free "flips and/or labels" instead.
I said," Sure I go through plenty of flips!" Visions of a case of flips danced thru my head (well, at least several packs).
Boy, was I peeved when my one whole package of 50 flips arrived!
and they're cold.

I sent in 3 ASE sets which were postmarked 1/11, so I only qualified for FS on the proofs and RPs. I got FS on all the proofs and RPs as expected, but, lo and behold, they messed up and gave one of the MS coins a FS label as well. However, I did not complain about it.
