Well my pop report came in the mail the other day all torn open and obviously thumbed-through, so I am glad that my stuff is in a deposit box. The mailman robbery team is going to be leaving with nothing but clad Kennedys.

For bulky items such as proof sets, albums and the like, several layers will help. Food safe ziplock bags, then into a plastic storage container with silica gel. Some folks like the Intercept shield boxes and holders. They are designed for long term storage. Some folks use ammo boxes.

I like old used jewelry boxes or silverware storage boxes. Again, coins are in slabs or in ziplocks before they go in these. New wood boxes may often breathe as does the adhesive used to glue down the liner, so I prefer finding old ones.

Safety Deposit Box vote number 2!

Otherwise, a fire proof safe works well as long as you keep some silica gel or dessicant in it. Living in the Denver area which is very dry, poses no real problems. If I were in Texas or Florida though, it might be a different story.
