Any chance of MS70 Silver Eagle
This may be worn out topic, but somewhat new to me. Obviously there have not been any PCGS MS70 silver eagle for several years. Does anyone know the reason for this? Also, does any one think there may be a chance for some in the 2006W crop what with the special treatment of the coins?
Thanks

Stated many times in the past, if you do some searches.
PCGS, by company policy, has decided that, due to the milkspotting that can occur on these, there will be NO NEW PCGS MS70 SAEs until the milkspotting issue is resolved and PCGS is comfortable with their liability of the "guarantee".
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I actually did try a search but was unsuccessful. Thanks for the information.

I agree, they do have a tendency to spot.
Question is:
Does PCGS give the 70 to ASE's? TIA. jws

Too many people have reported milk spots on all grades of SAEs. Sp PCGS decided to "Just Say No" to MS-70s.

I would hope this wasn't true, if it is then why use PCGS if they already have there mind made up that there will be no MS70's

<< <i>I would like to hear from PCGS on this issue - I'm sure there lurking here somewhere, the question is will PCGS give an MS 70 grade on the 2006 W ASE? >>
Yeah, why is everyone avoiding the issue? Why aren't there any MS70's?

That used to be NGC's policy. They abandoned it a few years ago.

I think that train has already left the station, and PCGS missed it. It wouldn't be fair to change their policy for the 2006-W's now.
However, I think that they should rethink their policy before the 2007-W's come out.
If they did backtrack on the 2006-W's, Would it be fair to charge for resubmissions?
Company policy or not, if that is THE policy, it should be made public. Its not right to take a coin, that might be ms70, and grade it a 69 because "it might develop milk spots".
If its a 70, ITS A 70
