Who is hoarding 20th Am Eagles?

I'm new to the forum. Lot's of good stuff here.
Are you buying as many 20th anniversary eagles as you can afford?
If so first strikes or non first strikes?
I am getting my hands on as many FS, (69's and 70's) as possible.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for buying FS but so far at least FS are selling for quite a large premium, (in spite of the negative views I've read here).
Will the frist strikes increase or decrease in value because of the FS controversy and pending litigation?

Welcome. You're bold to dare these guys to flame you but that tactic sometimes works around here.

I assume you're talking about silver? The current 20th anniversary gold doesn't qualify for FS. If you are talking about 2006-W 20th anniversary gold, see my ad on the BST board.

As for whether the controversy will make FS go up or down, your guess is as good as mine. I'd give 60/40 odds for up but that's a guess.

Lot's of good advise. I too enjoy collecting "coins" and have quite a large collection, (I assume you were attempting to be sarcastic). Thanks for the diversification recommendation too, which I completely agree with. That is what I see in the 06-w silver and gold AME. I think everyone would agree that the gold rev will increase in value for sure, (well maybe not the . modern police!

Well I'm probably not the only one noticing the $ of the SAE is falling slightly, (will they recover?). Although many slam the FS there is no arguing that it gets a pretty substancial premium over non FS, (I wonder if that trend will continue?). GAE are holding there own nicely. Thoughts/Flames?

Hoarding and maybe selling some in a few years. I don't see no reverse proofs in 2007 except for the plat proofs so this will be a unique coin indeed in both gold and silver.

Slamming to some, pointing out to others, depends on your perspective. Know what you are actually buying and the risk you are assuming which is a coin with a different label. In reality that's all it is and it to some it has a perceived premium, to others it doesn't. If you are hyper-sensitive to someone pointing this out to you then its probably an internal warning. There is no reliable history whether or not that label will sustain any value over the long haul.

Oh yeah, what Registry Coin said. Welcome to the boards, and no I was not being sarcastic with my first comment about diversification.... I was offering sound advice to anyone who STRATEGICALLY puts on extra weight image whether it is gold, silver, platinum, copper , nickel, zinc or brass.
