I hope Ebay get's sued one of these day for continuing to allow chinese scams. They should just ban all of China and Taiwan.

Let's see. Perfect feedback. good picture of a slabbed coin. You're basing your belief that it's a scam simply on the location of the seller. That's the good ol' American spirit. But don't tell the lady on the Platinum Eagles.

Now you may be right...but that doesn't justify the means of your conclusion.

I never even look at the coins offered from China. Just asking for trouble.

Their economy thrives on stuff like this. Take the "illegal copying and selling sofware" issue as an example.

The seller might have "perfect" feedback, but most of it is a sham and he's never sold anything worth more than a few bucks. These listings scream scam.

Believe it or not, shipping from some countries can be remarkably cheap. In the amateur radio world, European stuff is often shipped from Slovakia for that reason.

So you want ebay to start cancelling auctions just because they look suspicious? That would eventually get them sued. I agree with you it is likely a scam. I wouldn't bid on it. Nobody else is bidding on it. The consensus is that it isn't a good auction but I hope they require more than just a bad feeling or a location to cancel an auction. A bid feeling is adequate for me to decide not to bid.

You tell me which ebay rule there is clear evidence that this auction violates?

OK, so the images are obviously stolen. Has anyone reported it to eBay with only 3 hours left in the auction? I'd think it could also somehow be reported to PayPal that there are a bunch of bogus auctions about to go down and they could block payment.

I sent a eBay PM to Heritage Auctions before posting originally. They have more clout because it's their stolen images.

As a pharmacist, after a number of years in the bussiness,

you could spot a phony prescription. Even if everything was

correct, something always gave it away. I believe the same thing

happens with an experienced E-Bayer. Something always gives the con away.

Perhaps its a 6th sense, when the brain registers something thats just not quite right.

While it's pretty obvious where this coin came from, I do have a question about the feedback. I _think_ that the `?`'s are just due to the feedback being in a pictogram character set or something of that nature.

    Anyone know for sure?
