Where are my quarter ounce (2006) plats, Mint?

The date has moved back like a chinese water torture. It started sometime late December, 1-1, 1-3, 1-5, 1-8, 1-10, 1-15, 1-18, 1-20, and now 1-23. I have all my other combos but the quarter-p. Anyone else running into this sit.

My 1/2 oz is backordered all the way to 1/24/07

Then they don't need to move the date again for a week and a half.

It can be frustrating to collect coins from the future, because they don't exist. When the future becomes the present, your coins will arrive.

<< <i>Half of my order has been delivered, the other half is afflicted with the creeping date disease. Everyone has made or will make money on these issues. Saying you will make more or less this way as opposed to that way is a prediction that may or may not be true. I guess its human nature (greed) that makes all of us want to sell at the highest price. We all picked it up at the lowest price, anything above that is gravy. No sense crying over an as yet to be determined prediction. I always miss the highest high when selling stock and have learned to be okay with it, as long as I make something. Kwitchyerbellyaching! >>
Any particular stock you want to see in the toilet?
I'll buy a few shares, and you can just kiss it goodby. I seem to have this strange power
(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?
I'm really sorry to say this.....they did it to me on my 20th Silver sets for two freak'n months, then the date turned to 'Not Availiable'.....
..they just ain't comin'....
"they aren't coming" is a rather disturbing comment for many people on this thread. Who made you the expert? Is your prediction of a greater merit just because you were fortunate enough to have scored at least 30 pieces of Platinum? Easy with those pats on your back, Coinboy, it's affecting your head.
BTW, congrats on your fortuitous acquisition! You must be delighted with all that profit. Now be nice.

I haven't sold a single coin, nor do I intend to.
I am being nice, but also realistic based on my experience in Waiting For Godot aka' The 20th Silver sets that never arrived.
Anyway, it was late and my father is a retired Marine, so I would never cause harm. My apology if it came off that way.
Apology accepted. Let's all try to enjoy our new found success.
Your father MUST know all about compassion for the ones that didn't make it. The coin forum members who are complaining about the backorder status need to vent and cling to hope. It is better to have hope in your soul than soap in your hole.

The Mint accepted orders for the 20th, even after the sell out. I'm sure a lot of people had their orders cancelled.
They didn't take orders for the Plats after the sellout. They sold out and that was it.
I can't say who will get their coins, but to compare the situation to the 20th would be wrong.
30AnvZ28,
You answered your own question... proof. We are all talking about the W mint mark Unc coins....
If we all say they are still coming, that might make it true!
<< <i>It isn't logical that all the fractional coins haven't been shipped with their small mintages. >>
It all makes no sense. I got one 4-coin set, 1 ounce single, 1 half ounce single, and 1 quarter ounce single. I've had all of these graded, returned to me (wainting to go on the 'bay.) And yet, I'm still waiting on 2 quarter oz's. I ordered some of the singles after I ordered the 2 quarters. Makes you wonder about their accounting. I think the distribution of these low mintage plats are low on the Mint priority...I mean, how many people are they going to upset compared to a big commem program. We're on the back burner, ladies and gents.
Maybe someone with "priority" jumped to the head of the line and bought the remaining supply.
Hey, Mint, if you can't deliver than say so.
It'll be at least April when they cancel the unfilled orders.
<< <i> Your order request is in process 4 units backordered. Expected to ship on 01/29/07 >>
category for my 4 - 1/2 oz '06-W Plats. If I do get these Coins one day, I'll be really pleased.
If not, then at least I did get in on the 2 - sets and the 5 - 1 oz singles. I guess that's better than being a bitter Platinum slammer like some people on these boards.
Might be nice if the Mint could select a delivery date, if delivery shall ever be
and just stick to it.

Ha!....they skipped 2/9 and went to 2/10.

I called the Mint, spoke with Tanisha, and asked about my 2 quarter ounce plats. I gave her my order number 2385xxxx on December 14. She looked it up and she said it would be about another 4-6 weeks(?!) I asked for the reason and she said they are waiting for another shipment (from West Point.)
I know, I know, I said I cancelled my order. I just got tired of me complaining. Plus, if I pretended I cancelled maybe they would show up...I don't know..
That was what she said on 1/2/07

Don't scare me.
She's probably reading from a "customer service reply" sheet. Things you say to customers before they get the axe.
